Mysuru: Repair works of the clarifier and filter bed at Vani Vilas Water Works (VVWW) has been taken up by Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board (KUWS&DB) under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) to purify water supplied to the city from Hongalli 3rd Stage.

Hence, the water supplied to Ward numbers 1 to 6, 18 to 21 and 42 to 47, covering Vijayanagar, Hebbal, Kumbarakoppal, Hootagalli, KHB Colony, Vinayakanagar, Manjunathapura, Mandi Mohalla, Lashkar Mohalla, Gokulam, Yadavagiri, Irwin Road, Soppinakeri, Ramavilas Road, Sayyaji Rao Road, Vokkalageri, Shivarampet, Gangothri Extension, Sharadadevinagar, T.K. Layout, RMP and BEML could be turbid with mud content.

VVWW Executive Engineer has, in a press release, advised residents receiving water from Central SThorage Reservoir (CSR) in Vijayanagar to boil the water before drinking.
