Mysuru: Senior writer B.P. Ashwath Narayan’s book titled Sahitya Sangama and Journalist Ranganath Mysuru’s book Kannada Gandhi will be released at a programme jointly organised by Hoysala Kannada Sangha and Savigannada Pathrika Balaga, marking the 74th birthday of renowned writer and columnist Prof. K. Bhyravamurthy at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road in city at 4.30 pm on June 29.
Prof. Bhyravamurthy will be felicitated on the occasion.
Renowned Paediatrician Dr. H.B. Rajashekar will inaugurate the programme in the presence of Melukote Vangipura Nambi Mutt Seer Ilai Alwar Swamiji.
Scholar Dr. Malali Vasanthkumar will release the book Kannada Gandhi while veteran writer Dr. C.G. Ushadevi will release the book Sahitya Sangama.
Prof. Bhyravamurthy will deliver a talk on Kannada activist late N. Nagalingaswamy.
Late Nagalingaswamy’s wife Nagamma, his associate Auto Satya, young Kannada activist Arvind Sharma and Kannada Kranti Dal’s Tejaswi Kumar will be felicitated on the occasion.
The book release programme will be followed by a Kavi Goshti titled Ambi Kavya Namana, organised in memory of late actor Ambarish.
