Mysore/Mysuru: A book handover programme for the proposed Flybrary at Mysore Airport was held on Friday at the Community Hall of Mysore Airport in Mandakalli.
The initiative is a collaborative effort between Mysore Airport and Rotary Club of Mysore West aimed at promoting reading among air travellers.
During the programme, a collection of books was formally handed over by representatives of Rotary Club of Mysore West for the establishment of the proposed Flybrary, which is planned to be set up in the Security Holding Area of the Airport at a later date.
Mysore Airport Director P.V. Usha Kumari, Rotary Club of Mysore West President M. Devaraju and Hon. Secretary B.M. Rudresha, along with Airport officials, other stakeholders and members of the Rotary Club were present.
Speaking on the occasion, the participants highlighted the importance of encouraging reading habits and creating a more enriching experience for passengers. The proposed Flybrary is expected to provide travellers with access to a variety of books while waiting for their flights, thereby enhancing passenger engagement at the Airport.
Mysore Airport authorities appreciated Rotary Club of Mysore West for its valuable contributions and support towards this initiative.
