Boot Camp to encourage student entrepreneurship

Mysuru: The Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS), Department of IT-BT Start-Up, Government of Karnataka, launched its Boot Camp to encourage student entrepreneurship across the State at a function held at Sir MV Auditorium of  the National Institute of Engineering (NIE) here on Aug.5.

Dr. Sandhya R. Anvekar, Programme Head-Skilling, KITS, Department of IT-BT, inaugurated the Boot Camp which is being held at various other Colleges in the State from Aug.5 to 14.

In her inaugural address, Dr. Sandhya called upon the students who had registered for the camp to come up with their innovative projects which would be funded by the Government, if accepted. 

She stressed on having good Incubation Centres in all Colleges which would help in attracting more student entrepreneurs. She also explained in detail various other funding schemes to Colleges under IT-BT Department.

R. Ashok Anand, Director, NIE Managing Committee, presided. Dr. G. Ravi, Principal, NIE, proposed a vote of thanks.
