Borewell water supply in SBM Colony

Sir,

All these days SBM Colony, Sriramapura residents were supplied with either Kabini water or Cauvery water, but from the past ten days, taste of water started changing and steel vessels losing the sheen. When the water quality in TDS was checked with the concerned instrument, it showed 260 to 265 as against normal 160 (approx) which puzzled the residents.

When the matter was brought to the notice of the Water Works Engineer of the area, he confirmed that borewell water is being supplied to some areas in SBM Colony for a partial period in the day in addition to Kabini water, the reasons behind for this is not known.

When the water availability in KRS is in surplus, what is the difficulty in them supplying Cauvery or Kabini water to the SBM Colony? Why this borewell water is suddenly supplied, probably have they diverted Cauvery water to some influential areas thus depriving the residents of SBM Colony the good quality drinking water.

Already some of the residents are suffering from diseases like jaundice or throat infection and continuous cough etc. Will the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner look into the matter and see that Cauvery or Kabini water is restored to the residents of SBM Colony at the earliest ?
