Boy attending nature’s call run over by goods vehicle

Srirangapatna: A three-year-old boy, who was attending nature’s call opposite to his house, was run over by a goods vehicle when the driver was moving the vehicle in reverse direction at Bannahalli village coming under Arakere Police limits in the taluk this morning. The boy succumbed to injuries at Mandya Institute of Medical Science (MIMS) Hospital in Mandya.

The deceased boy is Tejas Gowda (3), son of Manju of Bannahalli and the driver of the vehicle, which ran over Tejas is 40-year-old Ravi, who is the Uncle of Tejas. 

Tejas was attending nature’s call behind the goods vehicle and Ravi, who did not know that Tejas was behind the vehicle, moved the vehicle in the reverse direction resulting in the vehicle running over the boy, injuring him seriously. 

Though the boy was rushed to MIMS Hospital, he succumbed to injuries there. 

Arakere Police, who have registered a case are investigating.
