Calling volunteers, seeking photos of community achievers for expo

Mysuru: A photo exhibition titled Vipra Nakshatra Maale of outstanding personalities of Brahmin community in the district will be held as part of the two-day mega Brahmin convention scheduled to be held on Dec.15 and 16 at Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama on Ooty Road in city.

Relatives and well-wishers of such outstanding personalities are requested to send their A-4 size photo along with details of their achievements, date of birth, typed on a paper (not hand-written). These details must be sent to the Office of the Convention,   # 2870, Vajranakha, I Main Road, 3rd Cross, behind Vidyaranya Hospital, Chamundipuram, Mysuru-4 before Nov. 20.

Photos will be displayed under the theme ‘Vipra Nakshatra Maale’ remembering the contributions of great personalities of the community. For details contact the Organiser Venkataram Kashyap on Mob: 95385-22053 or office Mob: 63638-69292, stated a press release.

Register for convention

As part of the two-day convention, the organisers will be conducting a series of programmes. As about 30,000 community people are expected to participate, the organisers need more volunteers for the event. The community people living across the city and district may register as volunteers at the Conventiom Office in Chamundipuram, according to a press release from Organising General Secretary M.V. Ramprasad.
