Bright LED headlights: Motorists warned

June 23, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Traffic and Road Safety, Alok Kumar has warned motorists against installation of bright headlights besides stating that cases will be registered against erring motorists.

The ADGP, who took to X (formerly Twitter) said that many vehicles owners were installing bright LED headlights for their vehicles in recent days, causing discomfort to motorists coming in the opposite direction leading to accidents.

In this backdrop, vehicle owners should only install headlights as specified in the Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR), failing which cases would be registered against such vehicle owners.
