Mysuru: The All Unions and Associations of BSNL (AUAB), Mysuru district, comprising 15 Unions and Associations, has reiterated its demand for early settlement and implementation of the 3rd Pay Revision Committee (PRC) pay revision recommendation for BSNL employees.
In a press release, the AUAB said the issue of 3rd PRC has remained pending for a considerable period, causing concerns among BSNL employees.
The AUAB also urged that the wage revision should be considered without applying the affordability clause, keeping in view the strategic role and responsibilities entrusted to BSNL by Government of India. The continued delay in implementing the 3rd PRC has caused disappointment among the employees, the release said.
The AUAB has intensified its campaign as follows: Countrywide lunch hour demonstrations were held at District, State and National levels on Sept.25; Massive campaign through social media on Sept.28; Countrywide hunger strike on Oct.1, marking the Foundation Day of BSNL; Three-day dharna from Nov.4 to 6; Week-long campaign during the first week of November; All India strike on Nov.20.
AUAB has called upon the Union Government to take an early, positive and just decision on 3rd PRC, the release further said.
