BSP candidate’s jumbo style campaign

BSP candidate Dr. B. Chandru resorting to a novel way of campaigning by fixing the elephant symbol of his party on a mini goods van.

Mysuru: BSP candidate Dr. B. Chandra has chosen a novel way of campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections by putting up the Elephant symbol of his party on  a mini goods van.

The BSP candidates have been canvassing in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar constituencies in this fashion from Wednesday. The Mysuru-based artists Harish Kumar and M. Nanjundaswamy of Ravivarma Chitrakala School have taken five days to design the van in a unique way.

The six feet in height, 15 feet long and 5.5 feet wide black elephant has been attractively designed. The campaign vehicle will move around Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts under the leadership of BSP District President Basavaraju canvassing for votes. This van will jog the memory of the people of the famous nursery rhyme ‘Aane Banthond Aane.’ The party’s candidate Dr. Chandra and the party workers move in front of the van with folded hands seeking votes, said Basavaraju.
