BSP programme turns out into condolence meeting

Mysuru:  The Constitution Day, Kanaka Jayanti and Arthik Sahayog Divas celebrations organised by the city unit of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) at Ambedkar Park in Ashokapuram yesterday, turned out into a condolence meeting, with party workers paying tributes to Actor Ambarish, former Union Minister and veteran Congress leader C.K. Jaffer Sharief and 30 passengers who were killed in a bus accident at Kanaganamaradi.

The party workers numbering about 50, who had gathered, offered tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s statue at the park.

Later, the party workers paid floral tributes to late actor Ambarish and former Union Minister C.K. Jaffer Sharief.

The BSP workers also observed a one-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed Ambarish, C.K. Jaffer Sharief and the 30 bus passengers who lost their lives in Kanaganamaradi bus mishap on Saturday.

BSP Corporator Begum alias Pallavi, BSP office-bearers Nagendra Arakalawadi, K.N. Prabhuswamy, Sosale Siddaraju, Dr. Basavaraj, Santhemarahalli Madappa and others took part.
