BSY asks aspirants not to eye tickets

Mysuru: State BJP Chief B.S. Yeddyurappa has asked the party ticket aspirants not to compete with each other right now for getting the party ticket in 2018 Assembly poll.

Speaking at the State BJP Executive Meet here recently, Yeddyurappa cautioned party workers against groupism or factionalism.

Calling upon the party workers to take on the Government at booth level, he stressed on the need for maintaining unity in order to win the 2018 Assembly poll.

Stating that the party will launch ‘Parivartana Yatra’ from Tumakuru on May 18, he exhorted the party workers to show unity when the Yatra arrives in their respective district.

Reiterating his caution that ticket aspirants should not vie with each other for getting the party ticket, Yeddyurappa said that the party central leadership will distribute tickets after conducting a survey in every Assembly segment.

Referring to CM Siddharamaiah’s remark that BJP leaders had little knowledge about tackling drought, BSY said that he would not like to reply to the CM’s remark, which he said was an irresponsible statement.
