Purna Chetana Public School’s flagship programme to engage children creatively and productively during the period of their home stay
Mysore/Mysuru: Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and strict measures by the Government to contain the same, children across the State are locked up inside the four walls and even parents are worried about how to engage them.
As a responsible entity of the society, Purna Chetana Public School, city-based CBSE School, has come up with a programme called ‘Buddhimaan – 2020’ which engages children creatively and productively during the period of this crisis.
Buddhimaan contest will test children’s creative thinking, problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability which are essential skills for 21st-century kids.
The contest will run continuously for 20 days starting from today (Mar.23) to Apr.11. During this period, a total of 10 questions will be published on the front page of Star of Mysore once in two days. These questions are open-ended in nature and will test a child’s creativity, problem-solving and critical-thinking ability.
Children should attempt these questions as directed and should send answers to WhatsApp number 9972062848, along with their name, class, school name, parent’s name and address. Children from 9 to 15 years can participate in this contest.
Out of all the answers received, Judges Panel will select one best answer for every question and winner of each question will get Rs.1,000 cash prize (payment through UPI wallets) and a certificate.
One Overall Champion will be selected considering all the answers received and winner will be crowned as ‘Buddhimaan – 2020 — The Brightest Kid of Mysuru’ with a memento.
Participant has to attend all the 10 questions for the Overall Championship consideration.
All the participants will get digital certificates. The winner’s details of each question will be published in Apr.14 edition of Star of Mysore along with photographs.
The answers received will be evaluated by the panel consisting of Dr. Rajini (Renowned Child Psychologist) and Dhruva V. Rao (Co-Founder of Science Ashram — Organisation which sets and runs Tinkering Labs in Schools).
