Rs. 2.60 lakh worth gold, cash recovered
Mysore/Mysuru: Narasimharaja (NR) Police have arrested a burglar on charges of committing burglaries in houses, temple and shops and have recovered gold weighing 65 grams valued at about Rs. 2.60 lakh and Rs. 31,200 cash besides seizing a two-wheeler used for the crime.
NR Police, who had registered cases pertaining to burglary of Jan Aushad Kendra in their limits, had undertaken investigation and had collected information pertaining to similar burglaries in Mysuru and Mandya. Based on CCTV footages obtained from cameras installed in the surroundings of the crime spots, the Police arrested the accused.
During interrogation, the accused is said to have confessed of committing burglaries along with two other accomplices and based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered the above stolen items besides seizing the two-wheeler. The Cops have also launched a hunt to nab the accomplices of the accused.
Following the arrest, the Police have solved three cases in NR Police limits, two cases in V.V. Puram, six cases in Metagalli and Bannur, four cases in Srirangapatna Town Police limits and two cases in Pandavapura Police limits.
