Kushalnagar: Burglars, who gained entry into a house after breaking open the door, had to return empty handed as no valuables were found. The incident took place at the house of one Yashodha at Old Housing Board Colony in the town.
Yashodha, who stays in a two-storied house, had kept old and unused household items in the ground floor and was staying in the first floor of the house.
On Sunday night, burglars, who noticed the door of the ground floor locked, latched the door of the house on the first floor from outside, broke open the door of the house in the ground floor and gained entry into it. As the burglars could not find any valuables in the house, they had to return empty handed.
The next day morning, Yashodha found the door of the house she was staying latched from outside and with the help of her neighbours got the latch opened. On coming to the ground floor, she found the door broken and immediately lodged a complaint.
Sub-Inspector Chandrashekar, Assistant Sub-Inspector Gopal and staff, visited the spot and have registered a case.
