Mysore/Mysuru: Burglars, who broke into a house at Sathagalli, have decamped with gold, silver and cash.

The burglary took place at the house of P. Gurushankar.

Gurushankar, who left for Hubballi along with his family on June 7, had appointed one Somasundar as a watchman till he returns. But Somasundar, following illness had gone to his house. 

Making use of the opportunity, the burglars gained entry by forcibly opening the iron door, made away with 62 grams gold worth Rs. 4 lakh, silver worth Rs. 2.40 lakh and Rs. 60,000 cash. A case has been registered at Mysuru South Police Station.
