April 4, 2025

Mysuru: A KSRTC bus driver, who questioned a bike rider for obstructing the bus and not allowing to overtake his bike was allegedly assaulted by the bike rider near Gun House Circle on Mar. 29 afternoon.

According to Police, bus driver Shekar was ferrying passengers, when bike rider Madhu obstructed the bus movement by not allowing it to overtake the bike on Nanjangud Road in front of Mysore Palace, resulting in Shekar sounding the horn continuously to allow the bus to pass.

Despite this, Madhu did not give way for the bus to overtake him. Again when Shekar sounded the horn, Madhu, who was irked over this, stopped the bike in front of the bus and began to quarrel with the driver. Later, Madhu, using the bike key assaulted Shekar following which bus conductor Arun and passengers intervened and stopped the fight, Police said.

Based on the complaint from Shekar, Devaraja Police have registered a case.
