Mysuru: In a reported incident, the alertness of a bus driver helped save the life of a woman passenger travelling in the bus.
Bus driver Channaraju of Hongalavadi, who was the driver of KSRTC bus (KA-10 F-0559) on Mysuru-Chamarajanagar route, is the one who has won applause from the public.
Sundaramma, who works as a domestic help in Mysuru, was travelling in the Chamarajanagar-bound bus on Thursday evening. As the bus left Nanjangud en route, Sundaramma collapsed all of a sudden, when her fellow passengers caressed her. But as there was no signs of recovery, the bus driver Channaraju, wasting no time, accelerated the bus and stopped at Mariyalahundi, where Sundaramma was admitted to a private hospital.
Sundaramma was diagnosed of having low BP, for which she was treated at the hospital. She was saved of her life, as she was rushed to the hospital in the Golden Hour of treatment, it is learnt.
The bus passengers and the public were all praise for the alertness of Channaraju, who wasted no time in taking the bus safely to Mariyalahundi and admitting Sundaramma to the hospital there in quick time.
