C. Chaluvegowda (68), a retired PWD Executive Engineer, passed away at a private hospital in Mysuru yesterday following brief illness.

He leaves behind his wife Kanakalakshmi, two daughters, son-in-law Dr. Santosh of Jayadeva Hospital in Mysuru, three brothers, one sister and a host of relatives and friends.

A native of Chittanahalli village, Chinnakurali hobli in Pandavapura, Chaluvegowda, after retiring from service was staying in Mysuru. He had served in various capacities at Hassan, Hemavathi Canal Division in Pandavapura, MUDA and other places. After retirement he had served as the President for Sathya Sai Baba Seva Trust, Mandya and N. Bhadraiah Grameena Vidyavardhaka Trust besides involving himself in social work.

Last rites were performed at his native place this morning.
