Cab driver dies of heart attack at Chamundi Hill parking lot

He had brought tourists from Bengaluru

Mysore/Mysuru: A cab driver, who had brought tourists to Chamundi Hill, has died of massive heart attack at Chamundi Hill parking lot yesterday afternoon.

The deceased cab driver has been identified as Tejas Kumar (27) of Bengaluru. Tejas, who had brought two tourists in his cab (KA-02-AD-8299), took them to Srikanteshwara Temple in Nanjangud and later brought them to Chamundi Hill. After getting the passengers alight near Chamundeshwari Temple, Tejas took the cab and parked it at the multi-level parking lot atop the Hill.

Meanwhile, the tourists, after having the darshan of the Goddess, called Tejas on his mobile phone. But some other person received the call and told them that Tejas had suffered a massive attack and had passed away.

Krishnaraja (KR) Police, who rushed to the spot, found the body of Tejas next to his car. It is suspected that Tejas, after parking his car, was sitting next to it when he suffered a massive heart attack and died.

KR Police, who have registered a case, have shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary.
