Call for making best use of job opportunities

Mysore/Mysuru: Maharaja Education Trust President Dr. S. Murali said that one can see success in life only if he/ she takes up any job seriously.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Pre-job interview programme (Udyoga Mitra) organised by H.V. Rajeev Udyoga Mitra at KSOU Convocation Bhavan in Muktagangothri campus here yesterday, ahead of the two-day Job Mela to be held on Mar. 10 and 11.

Pointing out that job aspirants must make best use of all job opportunities that come in their way, Dr. Murali stressed on the need for candidates to get prepared for job interviews. Noting that information regarding job opportunities in companies are available aplenty in websites, he said that candidates will get confused while attending interviews in the absence of preparation.

Maintaining that the two-day Job Fair (Udyoga Mela) on Mar. 10 and 11 is a golden opportunity for job-seekers, he called upon the aspirants not to rue about lost opportunities and look towards future.

Former MUDA Chairman H.V. Rajeev, who is the organiser of the Udyoga Mela, said that the Udyoga Mitra held prior to the Udyoga Mela is aimed at developing confidence among young job aspirants from Mysuru and surrounding districts. Underlining the objective of organising the Udyoga Mitra, he said this will help in making job aspirants connect with employer companies.

Rajeev further said that more than 50 reputed companies are expected to take part in the two-day Udyoga Mela (Mar. 10 & 11), during which 6,000 youths having different educational qualifications are likely to get job offers.

Pointing out that there were just over 5,500 Start-Ups in the country before 2014, Rajiv said that this number has now grown to over 90,000, which explains India’s growth story. India, which is now the fifth biggest economy of the world, will become the second biggest in just a few years, he added.

S.V. Venkatesh, CEO of  proofile.in, who is also the Udyoga  Mela Convenor, said that more than 700 job aspirants with qualifications of Degree, Post-graduate Degree and Engineering degree, took part in Udyoga Mitra. The job aspirants can register for the Mela on Mar. 11 at the venue, he said adding that participating companies will hold several rounds of online interviews with job aspirants till Apr. 5.

The 2-day Udyoga Mela will be held at Pramati Hillview Academy in Kuvempunagar on Mar. 10 and 11. On Mar.10, for candidates having qualifications such as SSLC, PUC, ITI, JOC, Diploma etc., On Mar. 11, for candidates having higher qualifications starting from degree. For details, call: 95133-73737.
