Mysuru: The State-level Book Selection Committee has invited writers, writers-cum-publishers and publishers, who have published their books, irrespective of language, for the first time in the year 2024 in the State, to enrol for the State Central Library, at Cubbon Park in Bengaluru, before 5.30 pm on Jan.1, 2025.
The books irrespective of English, Hindi or any other language, published outside the State, should be compulsorily registered with the respective State Libraries or Book Registration Centre, recognised by the Central or State Government. The books should submitted for selection by State Central Library within 5.30 pm on Jan. 2, 2025, along with a photocopy of the certificate of registration and a copy of the book.
The books can be related to literature, children’s literature, art and Science irrespective of language, that should be submitted to the State-level Book Selection Committee.
While it has been already decided at the meeting of the Selection Committee to directly purchase the books related to competitive exams, textbooks, reviews, occasional and felicitation volumes as per the demand of local readers, under the official quota or discretionary quota of respective officers.
No books will be accepted separately at Commissioner’s Office to select the books published in the year 2024. Hence, those interested to submit the books to Selection Committee should submit as per guidelines.
