Calling advertisers

Mysuru:  With the Government expected to approve its submission on public advertisement rates, the MCC has called upon advertisers to make use of the MCC’s decision to implement the Advertisement by-laws applicable within MCC limits.

The Auditor’s report had objected to the MCC’s laxity in the collection of advertisement fees, following which the MCC’s Council Meeting held on Sept.5, decided to implement the Advertisement by-laws. The interested advertisers are appealed to make use of this opportunity.

The Office of the MCC Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) can be contacted during office-hours for more details regarding advertisement by-laws and the prescribed application forms.

Also, there are 1,82,000 properties coming under MCC jurisdictions, out of which Property Tax related to one lakh properties has been remitted. However, the Property Tax concerning 82,000 properties still remains uncollected. As such, property owners are asked to pay Property Tax considering this as the final notice, without giving scope for attachment of properties due to default on Property Tax payments.

The MCC has uploaded a handbook on Property Tax details on its website: http://www.mysorecity.mrc.gov.in; The handbook can be downloaded for reference, according to a public notification issued by the MCC.
