In a bid to encourage the farming community, Yelandur based Smt. Sundaramma Duggahatti Veerabahdrappa Pratishtana has announced cash prize to a best farmer/woman farmer. Farmers who have recorded the highest yield in paddy crop grown in Nanjangud taluk, banana in Yelandur, sugar-cane in Kollegal, maize in Hanur, tomato in Chamarajanagar and beans/vegetables in Gundlupet taluk, can apply. Cash prize will be distributed at the annual Suttur Jatra to take place at Suttur in Nanjangud from Jan. 18 to 23, 2023.
