The Department of Horticulture has announced the redesigned schedule of Karnataka Raitha Suraksha Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (KRS-PMFBY) for the year 2022-23 monsoon. The insurance amount per hectare for tomato is Rs. 5,900, potato is Rs. 3,500, cabbage is Rs. 3,150 and turmeric is Rs. 6,650. The last date to submit proposals to avail insurance amount for tomato, potato and cabbage crops is before July 15 while for turmeric crop is July 31. Farmers must register themselves online at samrakshane.nic.in.
Farmers may visit the Agriculture Department or Horticulture Department or Revenue Department and also the banks to avail information about the insurance.
