Calling farmers to pay crop insurance

The Horticulture Department has announced crop insurance amount for winter crop at Mysuru District under Karnataka Raitha Suraksha Pradhana Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana for the year 2022-23.

For the tomato crop grown at Yelwal, Varuna, Jayapura Hobli in Mysuru taluk, the crop insurance amount for every hectare is Rs. 5,900. Farmers must pay the amount before Nov. 30.

Also, under Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme the crop insurance for mango crops in Mysuru District may also be done by paying Rs. 4,000 for a hectare land before Nov. 15.

Farmers must submit copies of their Pahani, Aadhaar card, bank passbook and self declaration letter at the banks, according to a press release from the Department Senior Assistant Director.
