The Karnataka Government has asked all its pensioners to draw their pension only from any one of the four Public Sector Banks — State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda (formerly Vijaya Bank),Union Bank of India (formerly Corporation Bank) and Canara Bank (Syndicate Bank).

The Deputy Secretary of Finance Department H.A. Shobha has directed State Government pensioners from all Departments to draw their pension from any one of the four aforesaid Banks where they have an account.
