Mysuru: Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens (Mysuru Zoo) has started enrolling students of High School between 12 – 18 years of age for its Youth Club activities for 2018, commencing from July to December (only on Sundays between 10 am -1.30 pm).
Only 60 students will be selected on first-come-first-serve basis. The selected members will be exposed to various activities of Zoo education and wildlife conservation. They will be exposed to acquaint knowledge about the variety and value of our wildlife and captive management of wild animals. They will also be exposed to periodic theory classes, and practical works in up-keeping, feeding, animal behaviour studies, visitors’ survey, keeper interaction and visitor interaction.
Interested students may obtain the application forms from the Zoo office, with effect from June 25 during office hours and submit the application along with 3 stamp sized colour photographs, promoted marks card proof, blood group certificate, and an amount of Rs.1,000 as enrollment fee. Last day for registration is July 5.
