Car at throw-away price: Woman cheated of Rs. 1.93 lakh

Mysore/Mysuru: A woman, lured by an advertisement on internet about a car being sold at a throwaway price, has been cheated of Rs. 1.93 lakh.

The woman, who has been cheated, is D. Tejaswini Urs, a resident of Ramakrishnanagar in city. Tejaswini, who saw the advertisement on a website, called the mobile phone number found in it and the caller on the other end, who informed her that he was a military personnel, got Rs. 1,93,240 transferred to his account, but did not give her the car, thus cheating her.

A case has been registered at Cyber, Economic and Narcotics (CEN) Crime Police Station.
