Car driver commits suicide at Chamundi Hill

Mysuru: A car driver, said to be mentally depressed, committed suicide by hanging from a tree on Uttanahalli side forest of Chamundi  Hill yesterday.

The Police have identified him as Muralidhar (52), residing at the Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama quarters.

On Monday morning Muralidhar who had left his home in the car did not return even late at night. The public who found the car parked on the Ring Road near Uttanahalli yesterday morning informed K.R. Police.

K.R. Police, who rushed to the spot, launched a search and found the body of Muralidhar hanging from a tree about one kilometre from where he had parked his car.

It is learnt that Muralidhar has been working as a car driver at the Ashrama since many years. His wife Sudhashree is working as a Manager at J.K. Tyres here and his son is working as a Chartered Accountant in Singapore. A case has been registered at K.R. Police Station in this regard.
