Mysore/Mysuru: Two persons were killed on the spot when the car in which they were travelling rammed into a roadside tree near Udbur Gate under Jayapura Police limits last night. The deceased are Nandan (34), a native of Chikkamagalur residing in Bogadi here and Shivashankar (24), a resident of H.D. Kote. While they were returning from H.D. Kote and neared Udbur Gate at about 11.45 pm yesterday, the person at the wheels of Tata Indica car (KA-10-A-0390) lost control of the vehicle, which rammed into the roadside tree killing both of them on the spot.

Jayapura Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the bodies to MMC&RI mortuary besides registering a case. Post-mortem was conducted today and the bodies were handed over to the family members this   afternoon. Jayapura Police are investigating.
