Mysore/Mysuru: A career counselling programme for the benefit of students will be conducted by The Hindu on Sunday (July 3) at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering in city.
The event will cover educational topics like admission to professional courses through CET and NEET apart from providing a snapshot of alternative career options in general education covering Law, Pure Science, Arts, Commerce, Management etc.
It acts as a platform to connect students and parents with speakers and educational institutions and also helps students to take the right decisions after getting the necessary counselling and guidance.
Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, will be the chief guest and inaugurate the programme.
Resource Persons
A.S. Ravikumar from the Karnataka Examination Authority and CET Cell will clarify doubts regarding admission process through CET, the documentations required for the process etc.
Dr. S.N. Manjunath, Head, Department of Community Medicine, Mysore Medical College & Research Institute, will answer students queries related to medical courses.
Similarly, Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering & Dean, Faculty of Engineering, VTU, is the resource person on questions related to courses and careers in engineering.
Ameen-E-Mudassar, Founder & CEO, CIGMA, will provide a snapshot of various career options — apart from engineering and medicine — that are available after general education.
