Case registered against five including bank officials

Rs. 45 lakh loan based on fake documents

Mysuru: Vijayanagar Police have registered a case against five persons, including two bank officials, on charges of allegedly creating fake documents of a site and obtaining a loan of Rs. 45 lakh from a  Co-operative Bank.

The case has been registered against P.V. Srinivas, Prabhuswamy and Kumar Kiran of city and former Manager of Navanagara Urban Co-operative Bank at Hootagalli Shivakumar and Managing Director of Navanagara Urban Co-operative Bank at K.R. Nagar Suresh.

The case was registered based on the complaint from social activist Snehamayi Krishna.

In his complaint, Krishna has stated that fake documents were created for Site No. 6145 in Vijayanagar 4th Stage, 2nd Phase and Rs. 45 lakh loan was approved at Navanagara Urban Co-operative Bank at Hootagalli.

Krishna has accused P.V. Srinivas, Prabhuswamy, Kumar Kiran, Shivakumar and Suresh of cheating the bank.

Based on the complaint, Vijayanagar Police have registered a case and are investigating.
