Cash, gold worth lakhs of rupees stolen in separate incidents

Mysuru: In separate incidents, miscreants have stolen cash, electronic items and gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees by breaking into houses in N.R. andK.R. Police limits in city.

The miscreants who broke into the houses have decamped with 145 grams gold ornaments, Rs. 40,000 cash and electronic items worth about Rs. 75,000 from the houses.

In the first incident, miscreants, who broke into the house of one Kalidas at Subashnagar, coming under N.R. Police limits, have decamped with 145 grams gold ornaments and Rs. 40,000 cash.

Kalidas, on Nov.10 evening, had locked the house and had gone to Tamil Nadu along with his family. When he returned on Nov.13, he found the front door of the house broken and on entering the house, he learnt about the gold ornaments and cash missing, following which, he lodged a complaint at N.R. Police Station.

In the second incident, miscreants have made away with electronic items from the house of one Mohammed Shahid on Uttaradi Mutt Road in Khille  Mohalla here.

Shahid on Oct.17 had gone out along with his family. When he returned in the evening, he found the front door of the house broken and on entering and examining the house, he found a Lenovo laptop, Apple iPad, projector, Gionee touch screen mobile phone, Samsung VR mobile virtual reality headset,  Jio Hotspot device and Hi-Tech keypad mobile missing and lodged a complaint with K.R. Police in this regard.
