Cash prize for Yakshagana books

The Karnataka Yakshagana Academy has invited applications from authors and publishers of books on Yakshagana (Tenku, Badagu, Badabadagu, Yakshagana Gombeyata), Mudalapaya Yakshagana, Kelike, Ghatadakore and Talamaddale, published in the year 2022 (between Jan. 1, 2022 and Dec. 31, 2022) and 2023 (between Jan. 1, 2023 and Dec. 31, 2023) for awarding cash prize. The books may be in the form  of music, food, acting, research, critic, autobiography and prasanga. The best book will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000.

The books must be self-written and must be its first publication. Textbooks, collection of articles and felicitation volumes will not be considered. Four copies of each book must be sent to the Registrar, Karnataka Yakshagana Academy, Kannada Bhavan, 2nd Floor, J.C. Road, Bengaluru, before July 25.  Prescribed application forms can be obtained from the Department Assistant Directors of respective districts.
