February 13, 2020

Mysuru/Mysore: “As part of Cauvery Calling campaign, a discussion has been organised on ‘how Agroforestry can help farmers and provide attractive monetary benefits to them’ at Vidyaranya Convention Hall, Akkamahadevi Road, Vidyaranyapuram in city tomorrow (Feb. 14) at 9 am,” said Isha Foundation Volunteer Kumaraswamy.

He was addressing a press meet held at Patrakartara Bhavan on Tuesday. “A number of experts from agricultural fields as well as farmers including Kavita Mishra, Vinayak Bhatt of Nanjangud and Suresh of Srirangapatna will be participating in this discussion.”

“By planting high-value trees on a portion of farmland along with the existing crop, farmers will have a lucrative additional source of income.

Interested people can participate in the discussion and know more about Agroforestry, objective of Cauvery Calling and other related subjects,” he said.
