Cauvery stir: CSK home matches to be played in Pune

April 12, 2018

A day after the IPL returned to M.A. Chidambaram Stadium following a two-year suspension, the Tamil Nadu capital has been stripped of all matches of the 11th edition of the league due to massive Cauvery protests that have rocked the State, informed IPL Chief Rajeev Shukla yesterday.

“CSK will be asked to move their home matches to Pune as Chennai Police have expressed their inability to provide adequate security for the remaining matches,” he said. Massive protests were witnessed yesterday ahead of the match between CSK and KKR and an identified protester flung a shoe at CSK’s Ravindra Jadeja during the match.
