Hunt on to nab another accused; 1.471-kg ganja seized
Mysuru: City Crime Branch (CCB) Police have arrested a drug peddler who was attempting to sell ganja in Mandi Police limits and have seized 1.471-kg ganja from him besides launching a hunt to nab another accused involved in the case.
On July 28, when CCB Inspector Shabeer Hussain and staff were patrolling near Bada Makhan, close to Tipu Circle, they received information about ganja being sold. When they reached the spot, the Cops saw a man with a plastic bag standing in a suspicious manner and took him into custody.
On searching him, the Cops found a 1.450-kg ganja in the plastic bag and also in the waistline of his pant. Also, 21 grams ganja was found separately with him and seized the narcotic substance, besides taking the accused into custody.
The accused has been identified as 31-year-old Mohammed Karim alias Kaalu.
During interrogation, the Police came to know that Karim was trying to transport and sell ganja.
A case has been registered against Karim and another accused Shahid, who had supplied the narcotic substance to Karim.
The Police have launched a hunt to nab the supplier.
