Mysore/Mysuru: City Crime Branch (CCB) Police, who raided a Club in Ashokapuram on Saturday, have arrested over 50 persons indulged in gambling and have seized Rs. 1.50 lakh stake money.

CCB Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sandesh Kumar received information that illegal gambling was taking place in the Club and when the  ACP checked the license of the Club, he found that the license had expired three years ago and was not renewed.

Acting on the information, ACP Sandesh Kumar, Inspector Mallesh, Sub-Inspector Pratibha, ASIs Satish and Raju and staff Manjunath, Mahesh, Arun Kumar, Raghavendra and others, who conducted the raid, arrested those indulged in gambling besides seizing the stake money.

A case has been registered at Ashokapuram Police Station.
