The 9th edition of Celebration Mysuru Marathon organised by Life is Calling, a sports management company, as part of Celebration Run Series will be held on Sept. 22 (Sunday). The event will be flagged off at 4.45 am from Balarama Gate of Palace.
Celebration Mysuru Marathon will feature 42 Km Full Marathon, 30 Km Run, 21 Km Half Marathon, 10 Km Run for participants who are 16 years and above and 6 Km Run / Walk for participants in the age 11 years and above.
Addressing the press persons yesterday, Srihari, Managing Director, GSS Project Consultant Pvt. Ltd., said that the Full Marathon, 30 Km Run, 21 Kms Half Marathon, 10 Km Run will be held in competitive categories with the participants expected from all over the country. The Kotak 6 Km Celebration Run / Walk are a non-competitive category to encourage large number of participants from Mysuru to promote a Greener Mysuru and to ‘Salute our Soldiers’.
Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, former Indian Cricketer Javagal Srinath, International Athlete Reeth Abraham and other dignitaries will be present during the flagging off of the event, said Srihari.
