Mysore/Mysuru: The staff of Central Railway Workshop undertook cleaning near Sri Venugopalaswamy Temple at KRS backwaters on Sunday.
The staff, numbering more than 80 along with members of Vivekananda Geleyara Balaga, cleaned the place and collected plastic garbage strewn all over the area for safe disposal.
The staff also created awareness among devotees and tourists urging them not to dispose waste of any kind haphazardly and to shun the usage of plastic.
Central Railway Workshop Chief Manager O.P. Shah, Deputy Chief Manager Krishnaraj, Assistant Manager Shashikumar Nayak, Chief Labour Officer Srinivas Raghavan and others took part in the cleaning drive.
