Centre announces easing of curbs from July 1 to 31

New Delhi: With the COVID Unlock 1.0 coming to an end today (June 30), the Centre on Monday issued guidelines for Unlock 2.0 allowing expansion of domestic air travel in a calibrated manner, relaxation in night curfew and permitting more than five persons in a shop depending on its area from July 1 to 31.

However, International flights, Metro and Educational Institutions will remain closed till July 31.

Cinemas, Gymnasiums, Swi-mming Pools, Entertainment Parks, Bars, Auditoriums, Assembly Halls and the like will remain closed and large gatherings of more than 50 persons remain prohibited.

However, the dates for re-opening these places will be decided based on the assessment of the situation after a month. Lockdown will be implemented strictly in Containment Zones, which are required to be carefully demarcated by States/Union Territories with a view to contain the spread of COVID, after taking into consideration the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Within the Containment Zones, strict perimeter control will be maintained and only essential services and activities are allowed till July 31.
