Bengaluru: The Union Government has sanctioned Rs.1,300 crore for setting up new SC/ST Hostels across the State.
The Centre plans to construct 100 hostels at a cost of about Rs. 13 crore each at places where Government lands are available.
The construction works are expected to be complete in two years. State PWD Minister Govind Karjol and BJP National President J.P. Nadda were present at the meeting.
