Mysuru: Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University has invited applications for certificate courses of six months duration.

The subjects covered include Devotional Songs, Sugama Sangeetha, Folk Songs, Theatre Music, Gamaka, Yakshagana, Harmonium, Tabla, Flute, Violin, Bharatanatyam, Yoga and Karnatak Music.

The courses will be offered at University Main Centre in Mysuru [Ph:0821-2419443 or 2402141], Mandya Centre [97410-94935] and Hunsur Centre [94807-69007].

Students above 16 years with a flair and common knowledge of music can apply for the courses which have begun from Feb.1.
