Mysuru: Certificates were distributed to 31 participants, who took part in the bike rally, organised by Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI), with the theme ‘Save water for the future’ at a programme organised at YHAI premises in Gokulam 2nd Stage here this morning.
Mysuru Ramakrishna Ashrama’s Swami Mokshaatmanandaji, speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, said that the bike rally with the theme ‘Save Water’ was very purposeful. Former MLC D. Madegowda, who is also the YHAI State President, said that there were concerns over drawing up activities when the YHAI was opened here. But the concerns were soon addressed, with Mysuru and Shivamogga Units joining hands in taking up key issues involving the public, he said and added that YHAI – Mysuru has drawn up many purposeful programmes in the coming months.
YHAI State Working President Purushottam, Mysuru Unit President Ravi Kumar and others were present.
The bike rally, which was flagged off from the city on May 15, traversed through various places in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, before returning to the city this morning.
