Mysuru: Rotary Mysore West, in collaboration with Public Health Research Institute of India (PHRII), Yadavagiri, conducted Cervical Cancer screening camp at Ashwini Hospital here recently where 11 women were screened and their samples sent to JSS Hospital for examination and report.

Screening process known as Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) was followed as it is a community-based process which is affordable compared to Pap Smear and helps detect early signs of lesions and enable preventive treatment against cancer.
