CESC outsourced employees to protest

Mysuru: The outsourced employees of Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Company (CESC) will be taking out a silent rally demanding salary on a fixed date, PF and ESI facilities and later will submit a memorandum to CESC MD on Aug. 9.

The decision was taken during the CESC Outsourced Employees Association Conference held at Town Hall yesterday. Speaking on the occasion, Association President M.B. Naganna said that the outsourced employees must come together to fight for their rights. Adding that the salary, PF and ESI must be paid within 10th of every month, Naganna added that importance must be given for the welfare of the employees and demanded the CESC to clear the arrears.

He also added that the outsourced employees were made to work like bonded labourers and said that it was worst than being in prison. The employees have also demanded to regularise their job.

Association Dist. Vice-President Ramu, State Vice-President Srikanth, Secretary Rajesh, Treasurer Manohar and employees from Chamarajanagar and Mandya were present.
