This time, the CET result has shocked many intelligent, studious and hard-working students, particularly those who have achieved excellent percentages in their second PUC or 12th standard. All of them complained that the CET question papers were unusually tough.

In this scenario, it will be difficult for these bright kids to pursue their ambitious careers in engineering fields. When Government colleges deny seats, most cannot even think of getting into private colleges, which demand exorbitant donations and fees.

The career ambitions of most of the students will be nipped in the bud, which is quite saddening. I hope something is done to reduce the fee structure in private institutions to enable underprivileged children to get good opportunities in education.

Apart from this, more information, initiatives and opportunities should be available for students after school to take up Pure Science. The value of Pure Science should be taught at high school level to groom more professors and scientists in the future.
