Mysuru: The 109th birth anniversary of renowned writer Dr. Chaduranga (Subra-manyaraje Urs) will be celebrated under the aegis of Ursu Mahila Jagruti Sabha Trust at the Institution of Engineers on JLB Road at 10 am on Jan.1, 2024.

Ursu Mandali President H.M.T. Lingaraje Urs will inaugurate the programme. Senior writer Prof. C. Naganna and Dr. M.G.R. Urs will speak about the achievements of Chaduranga.

Chaduranga Award: Also five  achievers from different fields — P. Sarala, Assistant Administrative Officer, Karnataka Police Academy, Mysuru, Arunkumar Raje Urs, Butterfly researcher, Lakshmi Kishore Urs, Lecturer and columnist, Preethi Urs, President of Bettadatunga Gram Panchayat in Periyapatna taluk and G.M. Madharaje Urs, President of Ursu Mandali Sangha, Mandya —  will be conferred with Dr. Chaduranga Award on the occasion.
