Chain-snatched at Alanahalli

Mysuru: An incident of a bike-borne miscreant snatching a part of a gold chain from a woman who was going on a bike with her husband has been reported on T. Narsipur Road in Alanahalli here on Friday.

The woman, who lost a part of the gold chain, has been identified as Roopashri, wife of Krishna Urs and a resident of Alanahalli.

It is reported that Roopashri was going with her husband on a bike near Shakthi Hill View Hospital at about 7.20 pm, when a bike-borne miscreant who came from behind yanked off the 40 gram gold chain of Roopashri.

As Roopashri held on to the gold chain, the miscreant, managed to flee with the part of the chain, weighing about 25 grams.

Alanahalli Inspector G. Shekar and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and are investigating.
